WHAT DO WE MEAN BY GENERIC ADVICE?

Strictly Mortgages is aware...

...that it is not always easy to express your concerns in terms of one specific product category.

For example:

Do you understand whether your wishes are best expressed through a Will or through a life policy Trust?
Do you know whether your needs would be better met through a standard residential mortgage or through some form of equity release?

These are only two examples of areas where you need some generic advice before you can even start to consider specific solutions, and the chances are that if you approach a specialist in one of these disciplines, they will simply send you down their own preferred route without giving adequate consideration to the overall picture.

In many different scenarios you may be able to define the problem but you have no idea how to start finding a solution and what, if any, products may be appropriate.

This puts him in a good position to analyse a broad range of scenarios and point you in the right direction for a solution.

Thinking "outside the box" is what we do, because the most obvious solution may not always be the best answer.
